Stella Maeve is an American actress best known for her brilliant portrayal of the character of Julia Wicker in the TV series The Magicians . Born in New York, Maeve considers herself Native American. She is part Blackfoot Cherokee. In 2005 she made her debut on film in the short Liminality. Her big-screen debut in 2005 with the critically acclaimed drama Transamerica. This season she made her television debut on a fourth season episode of Law & Order Criminal Intent. Nadia Decotis joined Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise in 2014. Chicago P.D. in 2014. . The character was played by her until the year 2015. She then returned to this role on Law & Order Special Victims Unit a TV show which is part of Wolf the second series. That same year she took on the role of Julia Wicker, the main female character in Syfy the fantasy drama The Magicians. Stella Maeve was a television actress who had successes, as well as continued to perform in independent movies. In the Starlet cast in 2012 dramatic film Starlet she was awarded the Robert Altman Award at the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
